Hey all! As I promised, Johnnie is here to tell you all about his exciting start to the month of August. I made the map of Southeast Asia larger than normal so that it's easier to see the different cities. With that said, heeeeeerrrreeee's Johnnie......
Well ladies and gentlemen, here goes nothing. So my parents planned to visit Katherine and me in St. Louis the weekend of July 30th. Mom and Dad were scheduled to arrive around 9am that morning. At that approximate time, I was in an emergency meeting planning my first trip to Singapore..........leaving 48 hours from that time. Why the short notice? Budget reconciliation with our project engineering firm.
So the weekend with Mom and Dad was still great and went exactly as planned. That is, unless you count the added stop at the apartment to pack, the extra load of laundry (with Dad ironing), and the extra trip to the apartment to retrieve my forgotten razor.
On Sunday morning, Mom, Dad and KWE took me to STL and I departed. ~24 hours later, I arrived in Singapore, which was roughly 1am local time.

This boat looking building is a hotel. It has an infinity pool on the roof, which you can only visit if you stay here. Ill give anyone reading this one guess where Ill be staying on the next trip to Singapore.
