From Marble Falls, I drove back to Houston to spend the week. I absolutely love this picture of the city skyline that I took while I was, um, driving. Please don't tell Oprah on me...I'm sure she disapproves of cameras while driving just as much as cellphones. :)
Mom's birthday was on January 10th, so Dad and I made her dinner and her favorite dessert in the world - key lime pie. Here's my pretty Momma opening gifts...
Here's Stella enjoying the boxes that her pretty Mimi's gifts came in... :)
Johnnie flew back to the States and arrived in Houston on HIS birthday - January 14th. I made cupcakes to match the gift bags that I so greenly reused from Mom's birthday a few days before!
I've never met a boy who loves cake more...
The day after Johnnie's birthday, I took him into the city for an afternoon and evening of surprises! First, we went to the Alley Theatre to see the hilarious Tony Award winning play God of Carnage. From there, we checked in to the swanky Hotel ZaZa, went to dinner at Italian restaurant Da Marco, and then back to ZaZa for a party with friends!
With the B-Day boy at Monarch - the lounge in Hotel Zaza...
Cute Christy (and my berry delicious cocktail!)...
Patti & Rene...
With my college roommate, Renee...
The speech pathologists...not talking just long enough to take this picture. :)
With my good friend Juan and his girlfriend, Ginnia...
We had such a fun day and we feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends!!
