When Johnnie has to leave Missouri for work trips, I am always in a race to see how fast I can get out of Missouri too...no offense MO.

I did pretty well in my latest "race"...no more than 2 days before I figured out where I would be escaping to...Chicago!!  My cousin Meredith and her fab husband Tom agreed to take me in for a few days.  :)

I drove up Thursday night and Friday I hopped on the train into the city to meet my cousin Brad and his daughter Cayden.

We took Cayden to the Lincoln Park Zoo...

On Saturday, I drove into the city to stay with my friend Emily.  Us Texas Ladies hit up a nearby Mexi restaurant...delish!!

I wish I would have taken more pictures whilst in Chicago.  I feel like we did a lot more than the pictures suggest...I promise to be more diligent in the future, my faithful blog followers!  :)
